为普及九年义务教育,发展特教事业,湖北省广水市建成第一所聋哑学校,长期失学的聋哑儿童首次进入学堂。学校从筹备到建成,得到了来自党和政府及社会各界的大力支援。省教委、市政府、市教委、民政局、残联、总工会、红十字会、工商局、个体协会、体委、应山办事处教育组、孝感地区文昌中学、地区实验小学、市实验小学及全市乡镇学校师生为聋哑学校捐款共计人民币17.8万余元,并捐赠桌凳、体育器材、尼龙蚊帐、床单、服装、食品等学习及生活用品。
In order to popularize nine-year compulsory education and develop special education, the first deaf-mute school was established in Guangshui, Hubei Province, and deaf-mute children who had been out of school for the first time entered the school. From preparation to completion, the school has received strong support from the party, the government, and all walks of life. Provincial Education Commission, Municipal Government, Municipal Education Commission, Civil Affairs Bureau, Disabled Persons Federation, General Trade Union, Red Cross, Industry and Commerce Bureau, Individual Association, Sports Commission, Yingshan Office Education Team, Xiaogan District Wenchang Middle School, Regional Experimental Primary School, and City Experimental Primary School Teachers and students from the township schools and schools in the city donated a total of RMB 178,000 to the deaf-mute school and donated tableware and stools, sports equipment, nylon nets, sheets, clothing, food and other learning and daily necessities.
