龚澎,是中华人民共和国外交部前部长乔冠华的夫人,是现任中华人民共和国驻联合国首席代表乔宗淮的母亲。龚澎在1970年9月20日病逝之前担任外交部部长助理,终年五十六岁,骨灰安放在八宝山革命公墓正一室。被安放在这里的女性,仅有她和前卫生部部长李德全两人。目前没有达到部长级别而能享此哀荣的,也只有她与“铁人”王进喜二人。
Gong Peng, the wife of Qiao Guanhua, former minister of foreign affairs of the People’s Republic of China, and the current mother of Qiao Zonghuai, the chief representative of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations. Gong Peng, aged 60, was appointed assistant minister of foreign affairs before he died on September 20, 1970, and his ashes were placed in the first chamber of the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery. The women who were placed there were the only two she and former head of health department, Li Dequan. At present, she has not attained ministerial level and can enjoy this kind of honor, and only she and “Iron Man” Wang Jinxi both.
