本文用X射线衍射和差热分析方法,对Gd-Sn二元系进行了研究,观察到三种新的金属间化合物Gd_3Sn,Gd_8Sn_7和Gd_3Sn_4,并作出了这个二元系合金相图。 这个二元系中,共存在着八种金属间化合物,它们是:Gd_3Sn,Gd_5Sn_3,Gd_5Sn_4,Gd_8Sn_7,Gd_(11)Sn_(10),Gd_3Sn_4,GdSn_2和GdSn_3。金属间化合物Gd_3Sn和Gd_5Sn_3分别在1173℃和1243℃同成分熔化;金属间化合物Gd_5Sn_4,Gd_8Sn_7,Gd_(11)Sn_(10),Gd_3Sn_4,GdSn_2和GdSn_3分别在1179℃,1114℃,1095℃,995℃,941℃和905℃由包晶反应生成。存在着1103℃约15at%Sn,1141℃约32at%Sn和232℃约100at%Sn三个共晶反应。无论是Gd在Sn中还是Sn在Gd中都没有观察到溶解度。
In this paper, X-ray diffraction and differential thermal analysis of the Gd-Sn binary system was studied, observed three new intermetallic compounds Gd_3Sn, Gd_8Sn_7 and Gd_3Sn_4, and made the binary system phase diagram. There are eight kinds of intermetallic compounds in this binary system: Gd_3Sn, Gd_5Sn_3, Gd_5Sn_4, Gd_8Sn_7, Gd_11 Sn_10, Gd_3Sn_4, GdSn_2 and GdSn_3. The intermetallic compounds Gd_5Sn_4, Gd_8Sn_7, Gd_ (11) Sn_ (10), Gd_3Sn_4, GdSn_2 and GdSn_3 were melted at 1173 ℃ and 1243 ℃ respectively at 1179 ℃, 1114 ℃, 1095 ℃, 995 ℃, 941 ℃ and 905 ℃ by peritectic reaction. There are three eutectic reactions of about 15 at% Sn at 1103 ° C, about 32 at% Sn at 1141 ° C, and about 100 at% Sn at 232 ° C. No solubility of Gd was observed in Gd either Sn or Sn.
