In early 2011, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council released a list of adjusted disciplines. Historiography changed from one first-level discipline to three first-level disciplines such as “Archeology”, “Chinese History” and “World History” . In order to promote the development of the discipline of world history in China in response to the new situation of changes in the subject list, March 26-27, the Department of History of the Social Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and the Institute of History and Culture of Tianjin Normal University jointly held a symposium on the construction of a national history of world history in Tianjin Yes, more than 50 world history leaders from 34 universities and research institutes across the country attended the meeting.
