以中国城市规划学会副理事长兼秘书长石楠为团长的学会代表团参加了9月23日至26日在波兰召开的国际城市与区域规划师学会第50届世界规划大会。本次会议的主题是:U r b a n Transformations:Cities and Water(城市转型:城市与水)。在全体大会上,专家们在报告中指出,城市转型发展的动力主要来自城市内部,追求良好的生活质量是城市转型的主要动因之一,而滨水地区的发展为城市转型提供了良好的载体。城市规划必须从整体的角度,全面考虑水与城市经济、城市可持续发展的关系,城市规划尤其要重视滨水地区的规划。
A delegation headed by Shi Nan, vice chairman and secretary general of China Society of Urban Planning participated in the 50th World Planning Congress of the International Association of Urban and Regional Planners in Poland from September 23 to September 26. The theme of this conference is: Urban Transformation: Cities and Water. At the plenary meeting, experts pointed out in the report that the driving force behind urban transformation and development is mainly from within cities. The pursuit of good quality of life is one of the major reasons for urban transformation. The development of waterfront provides a good vehicle for urban transformation . Urban planning must take overall consideration of the relationship between water and urban economy and urban sustainable development. Urban planning should lay particular emphasis on the planning of waterfront areas.
