一棵无花果树枝头挂满了青青的果子,却被一棵毫无果子的大树挡住了阳光。“你是谁?敢把我的阳光夺走!”那树回答:“我是一棵老榆树。”无花果树说:“你这棵不结果的老榆树,站在我的面前不感到害羞吗?我的青果子成熟以后,都会变成一棵棵大树,然后形成一片茂密的森林,把你团团围住!”不久,一队士兵从这里路过,发现了果实累累的无花果树,立刻爬上去摘果子。树枝被踩断了,树叶被弄掉了,所有的果实也都被摘光了。可怜的无花果树只剩下了断枝残叶和秃秃的树干。
