2007年1月24日,公安部部长周永康、全国妇联主席顾秀莲等领导同志在北京亲切接见了出席公安部、全国妇联组织召开的全国模范公安民警家属大会的代表。在受接见的模范民警家属中有一位而且是唯一一位来自森林公安系统的民警家属,她就是——张国益同志。张国益同志是河南省鲁山县林业系统的一名普通职工。自从丈夫谢新炎入警以后,她为了支持丈夫工作,用柔弱的肩膀挑起了家中的一切重担,精心抚养孩子,服侍双方父母,料理繁重的家务,使丈夫能够在没有后顾之忧的情况下,全身心地投入到森林公安工作中。10多年来,她以最平常的爱心书写了一个普通女人不平凡的人生。
