丁海斌教授提出的档案工作时空论是一次独具特色的哲学应用。时空观在档案学体系中占据“纲领”性位置,不仅是档案事业、档案学理论,甚至是档案本身,都存在于档案工作的四维空间之中。档案工作时空论具有很高的理论和实践价值:一方面,诸如档案定义、档案价值等档案学基本理论都有其时空观,包含在档案工作时空论之中;另一方面,档案工作时空论对于档案工作、档案事业的发展具有实践指导意义。
