Fingers hit the world In 1993, I came to Los Angeles from Shanghai, just put down luggage, the first thing is to study in the study computer. When my fingers fluttered on the keys, a line of Chinese appeared immediately on the screen. I was relieved. Since then, I have a little spare time, they sat in front of the computer, my thoughts in a foreign land coagulation in the computer floppy disk. I wrote the book “The Chinese under Stars and Stripes.” I remember in Shanghai, sometimes suddenly encountered a power outage, the computer also “rest”. Sitting in the study, a sense of loss. I can not type my Vance into the computer. Time seems frozen. Finally wait until dark, finally waiting for a call, I had just had dinner, then sat in front of the computer crackled up, like a long absence
