2010年12月,笔者应邀参加《合肥市志(1986~2005)》志稿评议会。笔者主张志稿评议会,志稿优点可以忽略不议,好话一箩筐,不抵苦口良言纸半张,多提建设性意见才是真心帮忙,故提出数十条修改建议。3年后,再次受到邀请评论新出版的志书,从志稿到志书,从评议到评论,一对比,感到真有不少可圈可点之处。一是封面设计庄重大方。当代出版的志书封面设计可谓异彩纷呈,一般来说都融入地方元素,或有代表性的照片,或有抽象的图案,但作为精装本硬封面,是难以达到设计效果的,只有依靠护封来装饰,所以有的封面设计复杂得难以理解,有底纹,有照片,有图案,设计者用心良苦,而读者看了茫然不知何物。不懂就来解释,看一本书的封面要依靠设计者的解释才能读懂,
