Students, especially middle school students, have few opportunities to participate in social practice. The writing materials they obtain are mostly indirect old materials in books and classes. Most of these old materials were used by the predecessors. We must use them to create new ideas. Otherwise, we will fry others’ “cooked rice” and be boring. How to discover new ideas from old materials? The author thinks that he should work hard from the following aspects. First, the negative side of the material to see many things (characters), due to the limitations of the times and the traditional concept of mindset, people have always devalued them and looked at them as negative things. Wu Dalang in the “Outlaws of the Marsh” was only short because of his physical defects. People looked down on him and said that he was a three-inch Ding Gu tree bark.
