我国是个贫锰矿丰富的国家,对于高铁高磷贫锰矿采用火法富集——富渣法生产高品位的富锰渣,仍然是有效的和现实的方法。 生产优质锰系合金,大都要搭配些富锰渣,因而它的冶金性能以及改善它性能的途径,受到铁合金工作者愈来愈多的注意。 一般含到SiO_2较高(25~30%)的富锰渣与锰矿石相比,它熔化温度低、软化区间长和粘度值较大,导致冶炼锰系铁合金炉缸温度提不起来,软熔带过长,炉料的透气性变坏,这些都会影响冶金炉的技术经济指标。
