This article discusses the similarities and differences between the two standards (CAGI-PNEUROP and ISO / DIS3481) for determining the noise of hand-held pneumatic tools and points out that the latter uses the sound power level as the primary measure of the noise level of pneumatic tools. However, The use of parallelepiped on the reflection plane as the calculation of sound power level measurement surface derived sound power level value is not accurate, it is better to use spherical surface accuracy. According to the author’s opinion, the sound pressure level measured by the former can accurately calculate the sound power level of the pneumatic tool, so the data measured according to the procedure after 1966 is still valid.
