二程依据其“性即理”原则,将人性二重化,使天理天性与人的自然之性对立起来,提出“存天理,去人欲”的理欲原则。千百年的传承积淀难以逾越,后世至今的文学创作理念的一再复载形成了叠嶂,传承到台港澳与海外华文小说的创作中亦为鲜明。虽然作家创作空间自由广大,但在对“去人欲”的反叛上仍然脱离不了二程理学的藩篱。现实主义、浪漫主义文学体例创作都或多或少给予小说人物以活的灵魂,同时又囿于理学的范畴。并非作家本身不能去超越文体所带来的局限空间,而是某种程度上对理学影响的认同。
