In recent years, there have been two major issues that dominate the U.S. basic education finance forum. First, political conservatives are mainly concerned about spending huge amounts of education over the past two decades. The federal government has continuously engaged in education by means of allocating education funds to achieve and accomplish specific goals and projects. Second, the political enlightened pay more attention to looking at the significant differences in funding for education between the states, each of the 14,000 school districts in the country, and even in one school district; they call for raising the minimum school district funding level to reduce imbalances Therefore, what they advocate is to increase the total investment in education. Between these two opposing conceptions, educational researchers debate whether increasing investment in education can improve students' academic performance.
