The chorus gains new popularity among the mass and at the stage. After the foundation of Sichuan Chorus Association in 1993,various chorus groups have joined to follow. Bashu chorus has got two national gold medals at ’96 National Chorus Festival. Many foreign choruses, such as Mothers Chorus of Yamanashi, Japan,Taihua Chorus of the Thailand and the world renowned Red-Flag Chorus of Russia have been to Chengdu to share their musical attainments with Chengdu singers.The choruses find their echoes from old and young, on or off stage. They sing to their hearts’ content, expressing the pursuit of art and their warm embrace of the new century.
