东昆仑位于青藏高原北缘,处于昆仑构造带、阿尔金构造带、塔里木地块、柴达木地块等构造单元交汇部位,地质构造条件极为复杂。这里人迹罕至,研究程度很低,许多基础地质问题尚待解决。作者根据对祁漫塔格一木孜塔格一带石炭系碎屑岩样品所做的化学成分分析结果,探讨了当时沉积的大地构造背景,认为东昆仑无论南带还是北带,在石炭纪都属于碰撞造山前的活动性构造背景,可能是藏北晚古生代多岛海的组成部分。
Located in the northern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, East Kunlun is in the intersection of structural units such as the Kunlun tectonic belt, the Altyn Taghfield block, the Tarim block, and the Qaidam block, and the geological conditions are extremely complicated. Inaccessible here, the research level is very low, and many basic geological problems have yet to be solved. Based on the analysis of the chemical composition of the Carboniferous clastic rocks in the Qiman Tag-Muztag area, the author explored the tectonic setting of the earth at that time and concluded that regardless of the southern or northern part of the East Kunlun Mountains, It belongs to the pre-collisional orogeny tectonic setting and may be part of the Late Paleozoic multi-island sea in northern Tibet.
