The 2014 Governmental Software Genuineization Workshops Held in the Office of the Inter-ministerial Joint Conference on Promotion of the Use of Genuine Software took place in mid-October in Beijing. At the meeting, Yan Xiaohong, deputy director of the State Administration of Press, Publication and Broadcasting and the deputy director of the State Copyright Administration, stressed that at present, rectification of software genuineness by government agencies has been basically completed and the focus of the next step is to promote the construction of a long-term mechanism. With the theme of consolidating the achievements of genuine software of government agencies and promoting the establishment of a long-term mechanism for genuine copyright, the meeting examined and verified the achievements made by 128 government agencies from 128 central and state agencies, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country
