本文通过计算比较了分别采用普通折射率耦合型(IC)、λ/4相移折射率耦合型(QWS)及增益耦合型(GC)DFB激光器作为光源部分的激光器/调制器光子集成器件的单模选择能力、调制频移及单端光输出功率等特性,在该类型集成器件的特性分析中考虑了端面反射率任意相位的影响并对此进行了统计分析.GC型器件的调制频移特性与IC及QWS型器件基本相同,而GC型器件的单模选择能力比IC和QWS型器件高得多,特别在HR-AR镀膜情况下,单端光输出效率大为提高,且考虑到GC型器件无需在光栅制作中引入相移带来的制作工艺上的简化,增益合型DFB激光器/电吸收型调制器单片光子集成器件是极有前途的光通信用理想光源.
