Objective: To investigate the effect of different intravenous routes on the chemotherapy effect of breast cancer patients. Methods: A total of 68 breast cancer patients who received intravenous chemotherapy in our hospital from October 2014 to October 2015 were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The observation group was given external jugular vein puncture, and the control group received forearm vein puncture. Observe the effect of chemotherapy. Results: The retention time of the venous catheter in the observation group was longer than that of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of phlebitis in the observation group was 17.6%, which was lower than that of the control group. There was a difference between the groups (P<0.05). . Conclusion: The use of external jugular vein catheterization for patients undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer can reduce the incidence of complications and reduce the patient’s pain.
