心理学家里德曾指出幼儿艺术是人的表现方式之一,模仿成人的想法是错误的,艺术应为教育的基础。而作为艺术教育的重要内容之一的美术活动,其实质是以培养幼儿创造能力为核心物一种创造性教育活动,其具有的特征是形象性、情感性、表现性和创造性,其功能是可以使幼儿将日常生活中所感受到的美的印象,通过绘画、美工等操作性活动的进行,不仅加深幼儿对美的理解,也发展了幼儿去创造美的意识和能力。
Reid, a psychologist, has pointed out that the art of child care is one of man’s expressions. It is wrong to imitate the ideas of adults and art should be the foundation of education. As one of the most important contents of art education, the art activity is essentially a kind of creative educational activity with the core of creative ability of young children. Its artistic features are vivid, sentimental, expressive and creative. The children’s impression of the beauty they feel in their daily life is not only deepened by children’s understanding of the United States but also by the awareness and ability of young children to create beauty through such operational activities as painting and artistry.
