彝文文献长诗积淀了丰厚的彝族历史文化,是彝族传统文化的一种重要载体,也是彝族传统文化的有机组成部分。记载了彝族人在历史发展长河中的事迹,反映了历代彝人的审美观、价值观,体现了彝族人的民族精神。所以,在当今世界经济一体化,各种思想激荡、强势文化冲击弱势文化语境里,有极大的开发利用价值。在这方面,《阿诗玛》是成功的典型。
