如果说97年的中国音乐电视以自觉的姿态引人注目的参予了香港回归和“十五大”的宣传报道,制作了一系列的有宣传攻势的作品,如《公元一九九七》、《一九九七永恒的爱》、《走进新时代》等作品的话,那么98年的音乐电视则呈现出一种个性化的散漫状态——即涨潮后的舒缓,更加趋向创作上的稳定和风格上的平和。这里就有了一个音乐从电视整体上向自己的初衷——(包装歌手、推出作品、面向市场)回归的自觉意识。音乐电视本不是承载太多政治内涵的文艺形式。就其本质来说是人类个体情感表达所需,具有鲜明的个性和抒情色彩。越符合音乐自身规律的作品越能广泛的调动人们内心的情感投入。急功近利的作品只能是应景式的宣传效应。除了艺术自身的规律外,好的音乐电视作品的创作,意味着需要很多的保证。我们不能回避一个永远无法
