1963年国际蠕变会议是美国机械工程师学会,美国材料和材料试验学会(ASTM)和英国机械工程师学会联合召开的。这次会议的目的主要是讨论工程材料的高温机械性能,特别是着重机械工程师对于蠕变与持久断裂数据的处理和应用。会议共提出77篇论文,并邀请了美国航空和空间管理处(NASA)材料与结构负责人Manson作了关于“材料在高温长期使用下的设计问题”的报告。其论文的内容可分为五个方面:(一)决定蠕变强度的冶金因素;
The 1963 International Creep Conference was jointly sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the British Society of Mechanical Engineers. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the high-temperature mechanical properties of engineering materials, with particular emphasis on mechanical engineers’ handling and application of creep and long-term fracture data. A total of 77 papers were presented and Manson, Head of Materials and Structures, NASA, was invited to present a report on “Design Issues for Long-Term Use of Materials at Elevated Temperatures.” The content of his thesis can be divided into five aspects: (a) the metallurgical factors that determine the creep strength;
