The U.S. biopesticide company Marrone Bio Innovations (MBI, based in Davis, CA) applied to the U.S. EPA for registration of its biotic fumigant MBI-601 (Muscador albus strain SA13 strain). This product can be used for high value-added fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants and other control nematodes, pests and soil-borne diseases. The company pointed out that the future MBI-601 will likely be used in more areas, including harvesting, lawn, forest and seed handling.
