广州南方服装厂是一家以出口为主的外向型企业,现有职工600多人.在十年改革开放的过程中,该厂的经济效益和社会效益不断提高,发展步伐日益加快.1988年,获得全国质量管理合格证;其主要产品红凤牌男、女睡衣睡袍,双马牌男、女丝棉衣,分别获省、市优质产品称号.这些产品不但畅销省内外,而且还远销美国、西德、法国、奥地利、日本和苏联等国,每年创外汇超过100万美元.该厂1988年创利润80.51万元,比1987年的47万元提高了70.8%,超过历史最好水平.今年上半年,实现利润54万元,比去年同期又提高了35%.

The plant had a profit of 805,100 yuan in 1988, an increase of 70.8% over 470,000 yuan in 1987, exceeding the best level in history. In the first half of this year, it achieved a profit of 540,000 yuan, an increase of 35% over the same period of last year.
