Klabin recently announced that its New Puma pulp mill in Ortigueira, Paraná, Brazil, has been successfully put into production and the first bag of pulp has been produced in early March 2016. New Puma Pulp Mill holds the Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody Certification (FSCC129105). The project total investment of 8.5 billion reais, including all facilities, taxes and fees arising from the contract changes. New Puma Pulp Mill completed construction on schedule within 24 months. The New Puma pulp mill, which has two of the largest turbo-generators in the pulp and paper industry, has a capacity of 270 MW, of which 150 MW of surplus power supplies power to cities of 500,000 people,
