关于世界文化和自然遗产:1972年11月16日,联合国教科文组织大会第17届会议在巴黎通过了《保护世界文化和自然遗产公约》(以下简称《公约》)。《公约》主要规定了文化遗产和自然遗产的定义、文化和自然遗产的国家保护和国际保护措施等条款,此外还规定各缔约国可自行确定本国领土内的文化和自然遗产,并向世界遗产委员会递交其遗产清单,由世界遗产大会审核和批准。凡是被列入的世界文化和自然遗产的地点,都由其所在国家依法严格予以保护。《公约》的管理机构是联合国教科文组织的世界遗产委员会,该委员会于1976年成立,同时建立《世界遗产名录》。被世界遗产委员会列入《世界遗产名录》的地方,将成为世界的名胜,可受到世界遗产基金提供的援助,还可由有关单位招徕和组织国际游客进行游览活动。自1975年《公约》正式生效后,已有176个缔约国。截至2003年7月4日,全世界共有129个国家和地区的754处文化古迹和自然景观被列入《世界遗产名录》。其中文化遗产582处,自然遗产149处,文化与自然双重遗产23处。中国有29处文化和自然遗产被列入名录,居世界第三位。其中文化遗产21处,自然遗产4处,文化和自然双重遗产4处。
About World Cultural and Natural Heritage: On November 16, 1972, the 17th Session of the UNESCO General Conference approved the Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage (hereinafter referred to as “the Convention”) in Paris. The Convention mainly stipulates the definitions of cultural heritage and natural heritage, national protection of cultural and natural heritage and international protection measures, and stipulates that each State Party may determine its own cultural and natural heritage in its own territory and submit it to the World Heritage Committee Submit its list of properties to be reviewed and approved by the World Heritage Convention. Wherever the included world cultural and natural heritage is protected by its own country in strict accordance with the law. The governing body of the Convention is the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which was established in 1976 and at the same time establishes the World Heritage List. The World Heritage List is listed as a World Heritage Site by the World Heritage Committee and will be supported by the World Heritage Fund as well as by the relevant agencies to attract and organize international tourists for excursions. Since the Convention entered into force in 1975, there have been 176 States parties. As of July 4, 2003, 754 cultural monuments and natural landscapes in 129 countries and regions all over the world were included in the World Heritage List. Among them, there are 582 cultural heritages, 149 natural heritages and 23 cultural and natural heritages. China has 29 cultural and natural heritage was included in the list, ranking third in the world. Among them, there are 21 cultural heritages, 4 natural heritages and 4 cultural and natural dual heritages.
