要成为新的战略支点,北部湾经济区就必须担当全新的角色。必须成为促进广西和西南、中南地区开放发展的战略高地,成为服务广西和西南、中南地区的合作平台,成为中国-东盟自贸区开放合作的示范区。因此,必须站在新的高度,用新的办法,才能打造这一新角色。第一,加快大通道建设必须与发展大市场相结合;第二,加快传统优势产业改造升级必须与布局高端产业相结合;第三,推进北部湾开发建设必须与发展西江经济带相衔接
To become a new strategic pivot, the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone must play a completely new role. It must become a strategic highland for promoting the opening up and development of Guangxi, Southwest China and South Africa and serve as a platform for cooperation in serving Guangxi and Southwest China and South Africa. It has become a model area for opening up and cooperation between China and ASEAN Free Trade Area. Therefore, we must stand on new heights and adopt new methods to build this new role. First, speeding up the construction of a major thoroughfare must be integrated with the development of large markets. Second, speeding up the transformation and upgrading of traditional advantageous industries must be integrated with the layout of high-end industries. Thirdly, promoting the development and construction of the Beibu Gulf must link up with the development of the Xijiang Economic Belt
