The International Council of Clinical Neurophysiology (IFCN) has recently proposed their recommended criteria for some neuroelectrophysiological assays, and the following is the short latency latent somatosensory evoked potential standard recommended by the Society. 1 The main content of the recommended standard Short latency somatosensory evoked potential (SLSEP) refers to the electrical stimulation of the surrounding and central nervous system sensory pathway crude fiber, induced within 50ms potential. The criteria described below are mainly for the median and posterior tibial nerves; however, they are also suitable for the detection of ulnar and peroneal nerves.
