一、华英药房的前世今生华英药房创办于1889年,是上海第二家由华人开设的以销售西药为主的药房。开办人庄菱(凌)晨曾任职于英商大英医院和老德记药房,上海著名实业家朱葆三、严筱舫等均为华英药房早期股东。而后曾任陇海铁路督办的章笃臣加入新股,华英药房改组为股份有限公司,由章笃臣之兄章显达任经理。1935年3月1日,经营长达四十余年的华英药房突然对外宣告停业,并聘请正则会计事务所谢霖会计师代表公司召集债权人会议。当天谢霖会计师就在《申报》发布召集债权人会议的公告。

The same day, Xie Lin accountants in the “declaration” issued a call to convene a meeting of creditors notice.
