2011年百度宣布要陆续开发自己的数据平台,号称百度所有的应用都要开放接口。同年腾讯的Q+上线,依托6亿用户,任何第三方合作伙伴都可借助Q+平台,实现自身产品的推广,通过开放接口完全赋予了用户在海量应用中自主选择的权利。海外Facebook更是借着开放接口垄断了大部分互联网快消费产品的用户登录界面,特别是在电商和游戏方面,几乎所有产品都直接使用了用户Facebook上
