High-energy semiconductor laser (HPLD) is a new type of laser developed in the 90s, which is small in size, light in weight and high in photoelectric conversion efficiency. From a development perspective, HPLD laser medical devices will form a new field, applied throughout the surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, ophthalmology and so on. This article describes the principles and applications of high-power semiconductor laser (HPLD) medical devices.
