温州华侨中学最初系由温州归国侨胞和港澳同胞于1957年8月倡议创办,从初创时的普通初中,到1977年成为全日制完全中学(招收普高生),到1984年开办首届华侨子弟烹饪专业职高班,再到1997年8月改建为职业中等专业学校(学校更名为温州华侨职业中等专业学校)……50年间侨中办学定位上几经变化。这个变化其实反映了侨中在社会发展和改革开放过程中,更新教育产品,寻求服务社会、服务民生的办学路径的探索。50年春华秋实,今天她已成为一所富有特色且极具影响的学校,这种特色和影响不仅表现在她的办学历史上,而且表现在她与众不同的办学成果和办学理念上;不仅表现在众多对自身未来充满自信的学生身上,而且也表现在富有治校特色的校长邱永飞身上。
