本文从英语知识和运用能力、学习策略、社会心理以及学习信念四个方面,调查一所重点外国语大学英语学院2008级外国语中学毕业生(简称“外校生”)进入大学时的综合素质。调查显示,外校生的英语知识和运用能力明显优于非外校生,这种优势在听力和口语方面尤为突出。他们在英语学习的学习策略、社会心理和学习观念上比非外校生都更积极、肯定和明确,他们有更强的自我意识,同时自信心也更强。说明外国语中学的特色办学理念确实有助于学生英语水平和综合素质的全面发展。
This article investigates the overall quality of graduates of 2008 Foreign Language High School graduates from a key foreign language college English college (referred to as “outside school students”) from the aspects of English knowledge and ability of using, learning strategies, social psychology and learning beliefs. Surveys show that foreign students have significantly better English knowledge and ability to use than non-foreign students, especially in listening and speaking. They are more active, affirmative and clear than non-EFL students in learning strategies, social psychology and learning concepts in English learning. They have a stronger self-awareness and are more self-confident. This shows that the idea of running a school with foreign language in secondary schools really helps students develop their English skills and overall quality.
