华北地台南缘的淮南、霍邱下寒武统雨台山组富产多门类微小带壳动物化石。单板类和腹足类是这个化石群的重要组成部分。以往,我国古生物工作者多偏重于寒武系底部非三叶虫带梅树村阶及其相当层位的多门类微小带壳动物群的研究。对于其上层位中所含的这类化石迄今未见报导。研究华北地台南缘下寒武统底部微小的多门类带壳动物化石,对于软体动物门的演化以及地层对比,都具有一定的意义。
Huainan, Huoqiu, Lower Cambrian Yu Taishan Formation in the southern margin of the North China Platform rich in multi-species micro-shell fossils. Veneers and gastropods are an important part of this fossil group. In the past, paleontologists in our country mostly focused on the study of multi-species and micro-shelled fauna in the non-trilobite zone of Meixu village at the bottom of Cambrian and its equivalent horizon. There have been no reports of such fossils in the upper strata. It is of great significance to study the evolution of the molluscs and stratigraphic correlation in the study of the tiny multi-species shelled animal fossils at the bottom of the Lower Cambrian at the southern margin of the North China Platform.
