泥心撑是用来固定泥心在砂型內的位置,泥心撑的种类很多,如下圖。其中应用最广的是方形双头泥心撑。当澆鑄时,泥心撑遇到了高溫的金属液,就和金屬液熔合在一起,成为鑄件本身的一部分。因此泥心撑要求有以下性能,才能保証鑄件質量。 1.能方便的放在砂型里,將泥心固定在准确的位置; 2.能够完全和金屬液熔合在一起; 3.能够在高溫作用下不会变軟。要使泥心撑具备以上性能,在使用泥心撑时应該注意以下几項: 1.泥心撑与砂型和泥心接触的表面应該光滑,不要有毛刺; 2.泥心撑的表面不許有氧化皮,如果有氧化皮在高溫下会放出气体,使鑄件在泥心撑附近产生气孔;
