五强溪水电站位于湖南省沅陵县境内,装机容量1200MW,以发电为主,兼有防洪、航运等综合效益。长江葛洲坝工程局受五强溪建设公司(业主)委托,于1990年10月组建工程监理部负责土建工程的施工监理,主要承担除永久船闸以外的全部主体工程的混凝土施工、基础处理、仪器埋设、安全监测、建筑装修等施工监理任务,累计监理混凝土施工230多万 m~3,基础固结与帷幕灌浆13万多 m,建筑装修面积5万多 m~2。
