国内一般轧机主传动减速箱齿轮寿命多为三、五年,较长寿命也只有十多年,而重庆钢铁公司的Φ550轧机主传动减速箱的齿轮从1957年投入使用,寿命已长达二十九年之久。为什么此减速箱齿轮寿命能如此长,厂方委托重庆大学进行了实际及理论的分析探讨。为此,做了如下工作:对减速箱的设计、制造、使用、维护进行了全面调研;轧机轧制不同钢坯时的齿轮负荷进行了测定;对设计方案参数、润滑、齿轮、轴进行了理论分析和计算;齿轮材质的接触疲劳试验;按照系统工程学,做了设计、制造、润滑、使用等全系统的分析。通过分析,认为这是一个系统设计的成功范例。
