根据《中共中央、国务院关于深化金融改革,整顿金融秩序,防范金融风险的通知》(中发[1997]19号)和《国务院关于成立中国保险监督管理委员会的通知》(国发[1998]37号),设置中国保险监督管理委员会,为国务院直属事业单位。中国保险监督管理委员会是全国商业保险的主管部门,根据国务院授权履行行政管理职能,依照法律、法规统一监督管理全国保险市场。
According to the Notice of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Deepening Financial Reform, Rectifying the Financial Order and Preventing Financial Risks (Zhongfa [1997] No. 19) and the Notice of the State Council on Establishing a China Insurance Regulatory Commission (Guo Fa [1998]) No.), set China Insurance Regulatory Commission, directly under the State Council institutions. China Insurance Regulatory Commission is the competent department of commercial insurance in the country. According to the State Council’s authorization, the China Insurance Regulatory Commission performs its administrative functions and oversees and manages the national insurance market in accordance with laws and regulations.
