2005年,按照县委、县政府的工作部署,立足刘庄发展实际,围绕“农业稳镇,民营经济强镇”、创建平安、和谐、富裕刘庄的总体工作思路,刘庄镇党委一班人坚持以邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想为指导,全面贯彻党的十六大和十六届三中、四中、五中全会精神,牢固树立和落实科学发展观,认真履行职责,努力开拓创新,使全镇经济发展、政治稳定、社会各项事业全面进步。全镇实现GDP3．6亿元,同比增长22％;国税入库300万元,增长21％;地税入库480.9万元,增长39％;财政总收入1010万元,增长41%;农民人均纯收入4360元,增长29％。
