美国Gorham Advanced Materials Institute研制并取得专利权、可转让、称之为压力辅助烧结的粉末冶金用低压致密工艺。该专利性工艺还适用于模压和注射成型件,而且在节省设备、简化工艺和减少耗省方面均胜过普通烧结和热等静压工艺。美国在80年代经过积极研究,于1986年在世界上首先获得了专利权,所用压力比普通热等静压低1个数量级,致密程度大于材料理论密度的99%,使用的压力在7.0~10.5MPa之间,烧结和加压两个阶段所需的总时间大约为普通烧结的35~40%,而且两个阶段都在同一压力炉内进行。
The United States Gorham Advanced Materials Institute developed and patented, transferable, called pressure-assisted sintering powder metallurgy with low-pressure densification process. The patented process is also suitable for molded and injection molded parts and outperforms conventional sintering and hot isostatic pressing processes in terms of equipment savings, process simplicity and cost savings. After actively studying the 1980s, the United States first obtained the patent right in 1986 in the world. The pressure used was one order of magnitude lower than the ordinary hot isostatic pressing. The density was greater than 99% of the theoretical density of materials and the pressure used was 7.0-10.5 MPa, the total time required for both sintering and pressing stages is about 35-40% of that for ordinary sintering, and both stages are performed in the same pressure furnace.
