回到原点首先是指我作为一个电影人的创作方式。我希望在一段时间内,以“讲与自己生命体验有关的故事”这样一种方式来进行创作。希望能在选定题材之后,努力开掘题材中人物的命运与我自己生命体验的相通之处,以此作为与观众交流的基点。回到原点也是我对中国电影出路的看法。中国电影在商业市场的压力下迷失了一些基本的创作原则。出路是要寻求和观众的交流。中国是个非常群体化的国家,生活体验也以群体方式为主。中国电影应该利用这种生活体验的群体性去讲一些以群体生活体验有关的故事,以此达到观众的覆盖面。回到原点就是回到生活本身。电影人要去寻找和观众
Back to the origin first of all refers to my creation as a filmmaker. Back to the origin is my way out of the Chinese movie. Chinese film has lost some basic creative principles under the pressure of the commercial market. Way out is to seek and audience exchanges.
