山区坡地多,平地少,地块小而分散,不适合大中型农机作业。现有小型拖拉机为手扶两轮驱动,平地作业机组平稳,工作效率高,但在坡耕地上作业,机组随坡形倾斜,工作稳定性差,影响作业质量,有时无法完成作业。1DH-1多功能环轮作业机设计成独轮驱动,配置两个可仿形导向轮,能够完成平地和坡地作业。还可根据农艺要求调整轮距幅宽,而且可以配备多种农机具实现一机多用。
