在全國人民欢欣鼓舞地迎接國慶節的时候,祖國遼闊無边的大地上正呈現着空前未有的大丰收景象。夏季以來,我們已經先后獲得了小麥、油菜、早稻、中稻的大丰收,現在又獲得了秋熟作物的大丰收。据農業部門預計,今年全国粮食產量將达七千多億斤,比去年增產一倍左右。今年一年增產的粮食等于第一个五年計划期間历年遞增数字总和(六百二十五億斤)的五倍多。今年的棉花总产量將达七千万担,比去年增加一倍以上。这是我國農業战綫上的輝煌勝利,全國人民都为此感到自豪。
At a time when the people of the country happily welcome the National Day, the vast land of the motherland is showing an unprecedented bumper harvest. Since summer, we have obtained the bumper harvest of wheat, rapeseed, early rice and middle rice one after another, and now we have also gained the bumper crop of autumn ripened crops. According to the forecast of the agricultural sector, the national grain output this year will reach over 700 billion kilograms, doubling the output of last year. The output of food for the year this year is equal to more than five times the sum of the annual growth figures (62.5 billion kilos) over the first five-year plan period. This year’s total cotton output will reach 70 million, an increase of more than double that of last year. This is a glorious victory on the agricultural front of our country and all the people in the country are proud of it.
