在布病疫区采用我国新研制的纯化布氏菌素和老布氏菌素（粗制），用同体双臂法对３５３名易感者和９０名用布病活菌苗免疫者作皮肤变态反应对比观察。结果表明纯化布氏菌素以０．３μｇ／０．１ｍＬ／人份·老菌素以０．１ｍＬ／人份的用量，二者反应高峰均出现于４８ｈ，在感染和免疫人群中两种菌素反应的符合率分别为９８．６％和７３．３％。纯化布氏菌素的纯度好，皮变反应强度均轻于老菌素并无非特异性过敏反应出现。
