Huge foreign correspondent delegation From December 1980 to August 1986, I worked as a resident reporter for Guangming Daily in Cairo. Cairo is a Middle East information center with a large foreign press corps. When I was in office, just as Egypt and Israel signed the peace agreement, they were still in isolation in the Arab world, but 250 foreign journalists remained in Cairo. As the relations between Egypt and the Arab countries improved, many civilians in Lebanon moved many correspondents in Beirut to Cairo. By the time I left office, the number of foreign correspondents in Cairo had risen to more than 400. Any other cities in the Middle East, including Beirut before the Civil War, Do not want their backs. The Egyptian government considers the status of the information center a reflection of its political center. It attaches importance to establishing Cairo’s position as a media center in the Middle East and takes measures to welcome foreign reporters to Cairo. With the exception of a few sensitive countries, foreign journalists can register for a press card at the Egyptian Press Center, provided they hold a letter of appointment from their respective news agencies. Relevant departments also returned foreign reporters to buy duty-free alcohol and tobacco, the use of duty-free cars, import tax-free imports
