在我们的工作中,常遇到一些情况复杂、处理棘手的突发性事件,诸如群众集体上访、地区间的冲突、群众间的械斗等等,须由领导同志亲自出面调处.而对领导同志身边的秘书人员来说,则要面对严峻形势,巧当领导配角,发挥积极作用.1988年,我参加了持续三年之久的群众集体上访——河南信阳息县的“临河事件”处理的全过程.在三个多月的时间里,历经一次次矛盾激化时惊心动魄的场面,领导同志全心全意为群众服务的精神,做群众工作、解决疑难事件高超的艺术,至今令人难忘;同时,我也从中体会到一个秘书工作人员在这种“特殊”条件下当好这一“特殊”角色的重要性.
