The 3rd China-US Energy Efficiency Forum was held on June 13 in Beijing. The forum was co-hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission and the U.S. Department of Energy and co-organized by the Beijing government. Xie Zhenhua, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, and U.S. Deputy Foreign Minister Sandro attended the opening ceremony of the forum. The U.S. Ambassador to China Gary Locke addressed the meeting. The forum plenary session focused on the energy efficiency policies of China and the United States, followed by four sub-forums on building energy efficiency, industrial energy efficiency, marketization of energy-saving services, and electrical appliances and energy efficiency standards.
