建筑的经济价值的实现在于被人使用,而建筑的审美价值的实现在于被人欣赏。当代很多建筑师往往注重了前者而忽视了后者。根据符号互动论,符号是社会人际交往的基础,人们以符号为媒介进行互动。从广义上来讲,符号是指一切被人赋予某种意义的事物。建筑的各个部分和及其组合无疑具有特定的功能和形式,都蕴含着我们的经验与历史,表达着一定的意义,都可以视作建筑符号。建筑符号就是建筑师的语言,是与公众互动的媒介。如何使用建筑符号与公众进行良好的交流互动是建筑的审美价值得以实现的关键。
The realization of the economic value of buildings is to be used, and the realization of the aesthetic value of the building lies in being appreciated. Many contemporary architects tend to focus on the former while ignoring the latter. According to symbolic interaction theory, symbols are the basis of social interpersonal interaction, and people use symbols as media to interact with each other. In a broad sense, a symbol refers to everything that is given something of significance. Certain parts and combinations of buildings undoubtedly have specific functions and forms, all of which imply our experience and history, and express certain meanings, all of which can be regarded as architectural symbols. Architectural symbols are the language of the architect and the medium of interaction with the public. How to use building symbols to communicate well with the public is the key to the aesthetic value of architecture.
